The conducted contracts on the Trans- border Cooperation Romania- Bulgaria  2007-2013 Programme are 126. The total amount is 233 million Euro, from which 197 million Euro are financed by the European Fund for Regional Development. The negotiated resources stands for 91, 31% of its budget.
This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Nikolay Nankov after the held 9th session of the Joint Committee for Monitoring the Programme. It took place in the town of Kalarash, Romania. Deputy Minister Nankov was chairing from the Bulgarian side.
During the session were adopted: Updated Multiannual Strategy for Technical Support for the Programme, Annual Strategy for Technical Support for 2013 and Strategy for Negotiating the available resources on the programme. In order to maximize the absorption of the financial resources, working group will be established to finalize successfully the activites.
Financed projects by the ongoing programme will submit data basis and research to the Trans-border territory, needed for the aim of the strategic planning and programming for the next programme period 2014-2020.
During the session it was agreed to analyze the possibilities and to suggest alternatives for construction of  third bridge on Danube River by implementing strategical project on the programme.
