The Ministry of regional development and public works has worked out a project for a new Concession Law. The project law is to replace the now working law, dating from 1995. The accession of the Republic of Bulgaria as a full member of EU demands changes in Bulgarian legislation, including in the Concession regime, in accordance with the Union legislation. Working out a new law is related to the necessity for improvement of the normative base in reading the problems caused by its practical application. The offered project aims to create equal order for giving concessions both by the state and the municipalities. The project law is regulative and defines the general frame of the conditions and the order for submission, realization and termination of the concessions. It envisages that with a final decree the Council Of Ministers accepts a regulation which defines the whole application of the Concession Law.
