The 15 municipalities participating in the procedure will also receive funding
15 proposals to implement green mobility investments totalling £98.4m will be funded under the National Recovery and Sustainability Plan. All municipalities that have applied in partnership with other municipalities and public passenger transport operators will receive funding. This became clear after the evaluation of the proposals submitted under the “Greening Mobility” procedure was completed. Almost BGN 28 million is the own contribution of the municipalities. It will be invested in some of the activities set out in the proposals. The projects foresee the delivery of 97 new zero-emission vehicles and the construction of 68 charging stations. Intelligent transport systems will be deployed in 7 municipalities. Traffic organisation master plans will be developed or updated in 15 municipalities and infrastructure measures to support pedestrians and cyclists will be implemented in 17 municipalities, including the construction of almost 30 km of cycle lanes.
Eligible activities include the delivery of new zero emission vehicles, charging stations for public transport vehicles, including the implementation of accompanying measures for the provision of charging stations, the development and implementation of intelligent transport systems, the implementation of infrastructure measures for safe urban mobility targeting vulnerable road users - pedestrians and cyclists, the development/updating of Traffic Management Master Plans.
The implementation of the projects will contribute to achieving the main objectives of the procedure, which are related to supporting sustainable urban mobility through measures for the development of environmentally friendly, safe, functional and energy efficient transport systems, the creation of public transport with less energy consumption, which will lead to savings in public resources; the realization of effective connectivity between urban and rural areas.

- Vratsa Municipality in partnership with Montana Municipality,
- Velingrad Municipality in partnership with Rakitovo Municipality,
- Sliven Municipality in partnership with Yambol Municipality,
- Lovech Municipality in partnership with Troyan Municipality,
- Samokov Municipality in partnership with Ihtiman Municipality,
- Haskovo Municipality in partnership with Svilengrad Municipality and Harmanli Municipality,
- Dobrich Municipality in partnership with Dobrichka Municipality,
- Petrich Municipality in partnership with Sandanski Municipality and Botevgrad Municipality,
- Shumen Municipality in partnership with Targovishte Municipality,
