Chief Directorate “Civil Registration and Administration Services” provides access via SMS to the electoral lists for elections of members of the European Parliament

Besides through its internet site, Chief Directorate “Civil Registration and Administration Services” to the MRD, ensures also access via SMS to the electoral lists for elections of members of the European Parliament, which will take place in Bulgaria on 25 May 2014.
All Bulgarian citizens can check their data and be informed about the election section and place for voting by sending an SMS to number 18429. The number 18429 is a unique number for the three GSM operators (MTel, Globul and Vivacom). The price for a SMS is 25 stotinki, VAT excluded. 
 Only the 10 digits of the National identification number (NIN) must be written in the body of the SMS. The system replies by an SMS with a number and address of the election section for the person with the indicated NIN.
The website of Chief Directorate „Civil Registration and Administration Services“- http://www.grao.bg/elections/  also provides the option for Bulgarian citizens to check their data in the electoral lists and to be informed about the electoral section and place of vote.
Again on the directorate’s website the citizens and municipal administration can submit a „Request to vote at the permanent address“online and to register issued „Certificate to vote elsewhere“. These two services are also available after an identification of an electronic signature. A data check can also be performed by calling 0800 1 4726 ("0800 1 GRAO"). Tel. 0800 1 4726 is free of charge for the whole country.
