Deputy Minister Nikolay Nankov Attended the Opening Ceremony of Renovated Residential Buildings in Bratsigovo

The Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, Mr. Nikolay Nankov, attended the opening ceremony of a renovated residential building in Bratsigovo. The residential block is located on Angel Popov №1 street in the municipal center. The building, known among the residents as the “block of fears” because of its bad structure condition, is already renovated by financing under the
Energy Efficiency of Multi-family Residential Buildings National Programme. Through funding under the Programme another building in Bratsigovo, situated on Slavi Dishlyanov №25-27 street, was renovated, as well.
I am glad that today I attend this ceremony for the building we are in front of and I am satisfied with the fact that we open another building in Bratsigovo. They were renovated under the Energy Efficiency of Multi-family Residential Buildings National Programme with funds totaling BGN2,3 mln., said Deputy Minister Nankov. He noted that except implemented energy efficiency measures due to which the owners will pay less for heating in winter and cooling in summer, all compromised connections between the plates and pillars in the two buildings have been also restored. In this way over 220 inhabitants living in them can be sure that they live in safer buildings. The balconies’ railings have been strengthened, the components of the Water Supply and Sewerage and electro installations in the common areas have been replaced, the lightning protection of the building have been set and fire safety measures have also been implemented.
Construction works on another one of the approved 7 buildings in Bratsigovo are currently in progress. The implemented two residential blocks in the town are the first with completed renovation in Pazardzhik region, said Deputy Minister Nankov.
A total of 69 contracts of the approved 118 applications for interest and financial support under the Programme on its territory have been signed. Structural and energy audits of 55 buildings have been started and construction works on another 11 have been in progress.
Over 2000 agreements under the Energy Efficiency of Multi-family Residential Buildings National Programme have been contracted in the country. On 171 of them construction works are being implemented and 42 buildings in different cities have already been renovated.
The interest towards the Programme continues to rise and the proof is the already registered
nearly 4200 associations of owners.
