Deputy Minister Pavlova is attending a forum for sustainable development of the Black sea region
By Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works
The Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Lilyana Pavlova will participate in an international meeting- “Ideas for dimensional model of sustainable development in the Black Sea region, Cultural landscape and increased capital of the territories - Horizon 2015-2050”. During the meeting, she will present various opportunities for the development of the region through the implementation of projects, financed by EU funds.
The event, organized by the “Forum of Architects from the Black Sea region” at the International Union of Architects, will be held on 30 April and 1 May 2011, in Varna.
The conference aims to clarify the possibilities for future development of a system of infrastructural projects, including port facilities along the Danube river and the Black Sea. In addition, its purpose is to become part of an overall concept for the development of territories behind them and the correspondent municipalities, on an expert level.
The expected outcome of the forum is for the governments of the Black Sea countries to award and fund an overall spatial concept as a basis for research, design and progressive activation of sites, associated with e.g. Black Sea highway, to develop the coastal and aquatic resources (ports, yachting, manufacturing areas, tourism, etc.).
