Deputy Minister Simitchiev signed two framework agreements for land sliding prevention

The deputy minister of regional development and public works Dobromir Simitchiev has signed two framework agreements for two of the LOTS within a procedure for land sliding prevention. These projects are being financed by the state budget and winners are selected by a public procurement procedure. The agreements subject is: „Prevention activities for protection against land sliding, erosion and abrasive process in the Republic of Bulgaria through regime studies, consultancy services, and technical support, maintenance of a register for land sliding and reinstate the instrumentation system”.

For the subcontractor of LOT 2 Geozashtita EOOD Pleven has been chosen by a public procurement procedure. The company will perform all activities foreseen in the agreement in the regions of Vidin, Montana, Vratsa, Pleven, Lovetc, Gabrovo, Veliko Turnovo, Ruse, Silistra, Turgovitshe and Razgrad.
Geozashtita Pernik ЕООD is chosen for subcontractor of LOT 3. This will comprise prevention activities in Sofia town, Sofia region, Pernik, Kustendil, Blagoevgrad, Pazardzhik, Plovdiv, Smolyan, Stara zagora, Haskovo and Kurdzhaly. 
It is foreseen to sign a Framework agreement for LOT 1 as well following the same procedure. It includes performing prevention activities in Dobrich, Shumen, Varna, Burgas, Sliven and Yambol.
These framework agreements are signed for a period of five years. They foreseen to assign the following activities in the Republic of Bulgaria:
• regime studies of land sliding processes
• consultancy services and technical support in the field of geo protection activity 
• maintain a land sliding register
• build, reinstate and repair of observation and instrumentation systems in land sliding regions.

All activities foreseen in the framework agreements will lead to a reducing of risks of occurrence of catastrophic and emergency events, which endanger people’s life and heath, will optimize ensuring of engineering solutions in advance in case of emergency and will contribute to organize an investment process related to land sliding  stabilization including reinforcement of the Danube and Black sea coast.
