Desislava Terzieva: „Arena Botevgrad“is the first proof that the Public Investment Program of the government works successfully for the development of the regions

The Minister of Regional Development Desislava Terzieva officially opened the new sport hall „Arena Botevgrad“. In the presence of inhabitants and guests of Botevgrad, Minister Terzieva underlined that this project is an example of co activity between the government and the local authorities.  „ The building was financed with over BGN 5 million of Municipality’s own resources, and the government provided BGN 1,8 million under the Public Investment Program to finish the hall ”, mentioned the Minister.  „Arena Botevgrad” is the first site completed with resources under the Public Investment Program of the government , she also said and reminded that the BGN 500 million saved up under the Program will contribute to develop the regions. She wished for the multifunctional facility to be an arena for lots of intense sport and cultural events, which is going to stimulate the region development. Minister Terzieva congratulated the builders, designers and the Mayor of Botevgrad Municipality for the unique facility. „Arena Botevgrad“ is seated for 4500 and has place for national and international sport events for 9 different disciplines. 
Before journalists Desislava Terzieva stated, the hall opening is an example of the co action of the state and the municipalities, and it is a proof that the Public investment Program of the government works and its first results are present. The Minister noticed, that every Bulgarian town deserves to have a modern urban environment as well as such multifunctional halls, because this makes small towns attractive for living. „Our priority is to invest in the development of small populated areas as for last years it has been invested mainly in large towns”, pointed out the  Minister of Regional Development. Desislava Terzieva announced that over BGN 35 millions, ensured under the Public Investment Program of the government, will be invested for building of 15 sport halls in different Bulgarian municipalities up to the end of the year and about BGN 7.8 million in construction and repair of playgrounds and sports places.
