The Minister of Regional Development Desislava Terzieva and the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population Kairat Absattarov signed a Protocol for the held, in Sofia, Third meeting of the Bulgarian Kazakhstan Intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation. In her capacity of co chairperson of the Commission Minister Terzieva underlined that the document sets up a good base for development and extension of the bilateral relations between both countries.
The parties came to an agreement for cooperation and setting of partnership between the Bulgarian Construction Chamber and the National chamber of entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan.
The purpose is to settle partnerships between the construction companies of both countries in order to build sites under conditions of mutual benefit as well as to establish a cooperation in the filed of architecture and design. Minister Terzieva mentioned that the construction business of Bulgaria can participate in the program for construction of Kazakhstan.
Bulgaria was invited to consider the possibility of participation in the construction of transport and logistic centers in Horgos – East door on behalf of the guests. Willingness for cooperation in the management of the water sector was expressed as well.
Desislava Terzieva underlined that the Kazakhstan regions are interested in Bulgaria in order to establish a cooperation and twinning. The possibility of contact with Bulgarian alimentation and food industry by the Kazakhstan region representatives was discussed. “We hope to create successful partnerships between companies of Bulgaria and Kazakhstan”, Terzieva said.
It was agreed to begin negotiations and subsequently to sign on documents for bilateral cooperation in the filed of social insurance, sport, education and defense.
A significant step was taken to update the contractual and legal base with a final concordance of the contract for legal assistance for criminal procedures and the contract for extradition. “We will continue working on the project of a contract for transfer of convicted persons”, underlined Minister Terzieva.
The matters relevant to activating of commercial and economic relations were discussed as well and both parties come to an agreement to make efforts for increase of the exchange of goods as well as the enlargement of goods nomenclature. A memorandum will be prepared between the Bulgarian Investments Agency and the National Agency for Export and Investments of Kazakhstan.
It was noticed that, because of their transit location, both countries have an increased transport of items. A meeting is foreseen with this regard between the Joint Bulgarian Kazakhstan Commission for International automobile transport in Astana town, Kazakhstan.
On his behalf the Deputy Minister of labor and social protection of population Kairat Absattarov thanked Minister Terzieva for her hospitality and expressed his hope that the bilateral cooperation will deepen.
Both parties agreed to hold a Forth meeting of the Commission in 2015 in Astana.
