Desislava Terzieva: The ring road of Vratsa is being constructed qualitatively and according to the schedule

The Minister of Regional Development Desislava Terzieva and the chairman of the Board of directors of the Road Infrastructure Agency Eng.Stefan Chaikov inspected the roadway of the newly built ring road of Vratsa, which is part of the international road E-79. The ring road is almost 7 km long and the construction contract amounts to BGN 14.6 million. 

„I am satisfied with the construction of the ring road”, said Terzieva after inspecting the site. „The builders assured me that unless any heavy rains fall, they will finish it up to the 1st June.  This means we can make the ring road of Vratsa operational before scheduled and in the eve of the feast of Hristo Botev on the 2nd June, when the celebrations in the city take place”, added the Minister. She was pleased that the activities are done with a good quality and in time.

Terzieva underlined that the policy of the government is to continue building large infrastructure projects such as speedways, the ring road of Vratsa and Montana, etc. Meanwhile the design of new infrastructural projects continues in order to build road connections to International corridor 4 in North West Bulgaria, which is declared to be the most undeveloped region in Europe.
To a question of the media about “Hemus” speedway the Minister announced, that the preliminary design will be presented officially next month in Pleven and Veliko Turnovo and a public discussion will be held. She informed that a subcontractor for the detailed preliminary study of the first section from Yablanitsa to the road junction for Pleven and Lovech is already chosen. The procedure for selection of the designer for the preliminary design of the section from Lovech to Veliko Turnovo is currently ongoing. „We continue the work on the preparation of “Hemus” speedway, which is of priority for the government “, pointed out the Minister. „We keep on working on the section Shumen- Belokopitovo as well – the site is not suspended“, Terzieva was explicit.
