Desislava Terzieva: We ensured additional BGN 9 million for repairs of roads in Burgas region

Almost BGN 9 million will be granted from the state budget for the reparation of 21 km of second and third class roads, which are a road connection to “Lukoil” refinery. This stated at a briefing in Burgas the Minister of Regional Development Desislava Terzieva. The Minister explained that the maintenance of these roads is an obligation of the state, according to the law, as the company has a certificate for investment of class A. The purpose is to improve traffic safety.

Minister Terzieva announced that yesterday she signed the Permission for construction of road junction „Bulgarovo”, part of „Trakia” speedway, which will be completed up to the beginning of the active touristic season. So the traffic to Burgas will be relieved by diverting the traffic to the resorts to the so called North ring road, away of the city entrance.

With BGN 4 million under the Public investment program (PIP) of the government is funded the section Mirolubovo – Kableshkovo – Slunchev briag. The road and the road junction will be completed for summer season and so the entrance of Burgas will be relieved. „We’re working on everything, I promised for Burgas during my previous visit”, noticed Terzieva.

„This year the state will invest over BGN 12 million under the PIP for infrastructural projects of the municipalities in Burgas region“, also mentioned Terzieva. „ I dare say, that the BGN 500 millions under the program are equally divided for the regions of the country, as not only Burgas needs investments, but all regions, especially in North West Bulgaria, where the road infrastructure of second and third class is of a very poor condition “, added the Minister.
