We resume the project for the construction of “Mokra byala” dam. That was announced at a press conference in Sevlievo by the Minister of Regional Development Desislava Terzieva. She underlined that an investment intension was submitted to the Ministry for construction and concession of the dam. Minister Terzieva explained that the dam is strategical for the water supply of the region and is included into the Water supply and sewerage master plan, which allows starting a procedure for design and construction. Up to the end of the year a procedure for grating of a concession will start. According to Terzieva the deadline for design, construction and filling up is between 4 and 5 years.
In Sevlievo Minister Terzieva explained that the repair of road III- 403 Sevlievo –Veliko Turnovo starts. Half a million levs were allocated from the budget of the "Road infrastructure" agency to repair the road sections in poor condiction on the territory of Gabrovo region. Over BGN 2 million are assured under the Public investment program to repair the sections of the road on the territory of Veliko Turnovo region. „These are the first steps to improve it as a repair has not been done since 1952.” , clarified the Minister. According to her, the repairs will continue next year also with state resources. „Our new policy is to rehabilitate small roads of 2-nd and 3-rd class. We have to set apart between BGN 70 and 150 million annually in order to repair small roads, which are important to the development of small settlements”, noticed Terzieva.
About BGN 500 000 will be invested under the Aridity fight program of the MRD in order to prepare two investment projects in Sevlievo municipality. This includes the design, a detailed regulation plan and many plans for improvement the water supply of Sevlievo and other nearby settlements such as Buria village. The design is to be finished this year, after the routes of new water mains have been precised. „Our ambition is to start next year the construction and repair works for improvement of the the water supply of Sevlievo and Buria village under the Public investment program of the government. Our new policy envisages to provide resources annually to fight aridity”, underlined Terzieva.
She noticed that BGN 150 000 under the Public investment program have been set apart for Sevlievo municipality for the repairaration of roads in the smaller settlements of the municipality.
