“After nearly four years of struggle, we were able to change the Cadastre and Land Register Act. The amendments were adopted yesterday by a large majority. Thanks to them, we achieve maximum openness and publicity of the data in the cadastre, the weight of the electronic document is regulated, which becomes official for everyone.” This was stated by the Executive Director of the Agency for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre Eng. Georgi Georgiev during the round table entitled ‘The Notary Trustee of the State and the Citizens. Beginning, present and future. Challenges and Solutions’, dedicated to the professional holiday of notaries. Georgiev congratulated all notaries on the occasion of the holiday and stressed their significant role in promoting legality, legal certainty and the protection of the civil interest. In his speech, he pointed out that the latest legislative changes give exceptional weight to the electronic document by creating an intra-administrative electronic service. The Agency will provide this type of services free of charge to all administrations, authorities and persons with public functions, so that they can quickly and correctly exercise their legal powers. “AGCC has long been fully electronic. With the changes, paper documents are permanently removed. This is the main instrument for increasing the legal certainty of the document flow and the civil turnover in the country", stressed Eng. Georgiev. He assured that the agency will continue to work in partnership with all institutions and professional communities so that the results will benefit society. "Only with general coordination and cooperation between state administrations, authorities, the judiciary and all those involved in property, registers and property issues will we be able to close all loopholes for wrongdoing", concluded the Executive Director of the AGCC.
