Experts from the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works and the Road Executive Agency will take part in the regular session of the Bulgarian – Romanian Joint Committee on Cooperation of PHARE –Cross Border Cooperation /CBC/ of the European Union which will be held on 20 May 2004 in Bucharest, Romania.
The aim of the meeting is for the representatives of the two countries to approve jointly the projects, which will be proposed for funding under PHARE – CBC Bulgaria – Romania for 2004 as well as a Perennial Indicative Financial Account for the period 2004-2006.
The following projects will be discussed by the Bulgarian part at the session in the capital of Romania:
• Rehabilitation of Road II-34 Pleven-Nikopol, of priority Infrastructure
• Integrated Management of the Cross Border Underground Waters in the District of Dobrudzha between Bulgaria and Romania, of priority Environment
• and the project People for People, through the so-called Small Projects Fund.
The projects are at the total amount of 10,090 MEURO, incl. 8 MEURO under PHARE-CBC and 0,090 MEURO national co-financing.
The Bulgarian delegation for participation in the session of the Joint Committee also involves representatives of the Ministries of Finance, Environment and Waters, Transport and Communication, as well as representatives of the district administrations in the cross border region.
