I am grateful to Minister Valentin Cerovski and to all deputies who endorsed the idea that the minimum cost of labour with which companies participate in tenders should be laid down in the Public Procurement Act. This would stop the dumping on the construction market and reduce the unfair competition between companies, said the Chairman of the Construction, Industry and Water Supply Federation to the Labour Confederation Podkrepa, Joanis Parteniotis after signing a Sectoral Collective Labour Contract between employers and trade unions in sector Construction. The ceremony was held at the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works. The document was also signed by the Bulgarian Construction Chamber Chairman Simeon Peshov, the Bulgarian Entrepreneurship Chamber Chairman Nikolin Gavrailov and the Chairman of the Independent Construction Trade Unions to the Confederation of the Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria, Yordan Niklenov. The signed Sectoral Collective Labour Contract defines salaries in the branche, leaves, bonus remuneration, damages, etc. which are more favourable than those envisaged in the Labour Code. Sector Construction is one of the few which have concluded a contract of that kind for 2004. PR & International Relations Directorate
