Today, 16th December 2009, Simeon Dyankov participated in the work of the Consultative Council, founded by the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Work, in the person of Rosen Plevneliev.
The main topic discussed was the problem about paying off the debts to the companies and the recourses for winter cleaning.

Minister Simeon Dyankov explained the late payments to the companies with the frivolous attitude of the departments towards the contracts demanded by the Ministry of Finance. He explained that they owed resources according to these contracts. The only person who presented the contracts in time and had announced the necessary amounts for their payment is Minister Plevneliev.

The Minister of Finance added that as follows 20 million leva will be given to the companies, which the state owes money to. There is a real possibility  that until March 2010 the amounts due will be paid to the companies in the first three months of the year, so the state will no longer owe money to the companies in the construction business.

Over 40 million leva will be used for the amounts due, taken from the budget of The Road Infrastructure Agency.

During the meeting it was clear that 10 million leva are provided for the national road system in winter. 5 million are transferred to the accounts of the Road Infrastructure Agency. Minister Plevneliev said that despite the state’s debts to the companies some of them participated in the road cleaning when the snow fell. He also mentioned that there was no crisis situation, concerning the snow-cover on the roads.
