Minister Gagauzov Opened the Samokov By-pass Road

The Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Asen Gagauzov has opened today the Samokov by-pass road. Minister Gagauzov underlined that the successful accomplishment of this project is a result of the activeness of the local authorities, the efforts of the Road Executive Agency (REA) and of all participants in the design and the construction of the road. The construction of the Samokov by-pass road gives a solution to an important problem in the transport-communication scheme of the town – it leads out of the settlement the transit heavy-freight traffic on the direction Dupnitsa – Samokov – Tracia motorway. The project is of priority significance and is included in the REA Program “Major Repair”. The total amount for the building of the road is 5 700 000 lv. with an implementation deadline 12 months. A bridge over Iskar river and 2,5 km new road have been built and the cross-road for Dragoshinovo village and the road junction with Road III-822 Ihtiman have been reconstructed.
