Both were adamant that there was no alternative to government at the moment

"Saving the renovation programme was one of my first causes at the beginning of my mandate and I am glad that it is being fully implemented elsewhere in the country. All ranked projects are 100% guaranteed, with one part to be paid through the MRDPW and the rest through the BDB. 1200 households in Shumen will be energy refurbished.” This was stated by the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Ivan Ivanov, who together with Deputy Prime Minister Atanas Zafirov launched the renovation of buildings in Shumen. "The municipality is active in all programmes of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, so the citizens of Shumen will soon see a renewed, modern, European city," Ivanov said.

‘The renovation programme confirms the government’s commitment to municipalities on the one hand and households on the other. I congratulate the Minister of Regional Development because with his and his team's efforts we managed to save these funds under the RRP", said Deputy Prime Minister Atanas Zafirov. He also appealed to the contractors of the project to work qualitatively and on time so that people are satisfied. The Mayor of Shumen Hristo Hristov added that the renovation program provides an opportunity to improve the environment and quality of life, as well as increase the value of the properties. According to him, Shumen has the opportunity to absorb over BGN 35 million for energy renovation of buildings. When asked about the announced no-confidence vote, Minister Ivanov stressed that this is the strongest instrument of the opposition, but when it is done every week, it loses not only value, but also valuable parliamentary time. "The arguments we see from the opposition are not based on real facts and will be refuted in court," he said. Ivanov recalled that PP-DB were part of the negotiations for a government, it was not clear why they left and it is strange their behavior, given that the government is working on a program, including with their participation. He and Deputy Prime Minister Zafirov were adamant that this government at this stage has no alternative.
