Minister Lilyana Pavlova introduce the project for “Energy renewal of the Bulgarian homes”

The Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Lilyana Pavlova has introduced the project “Energy renewal of the Bulgarian homes”, in the town of Plovdiv.
Jointly with the Managing Authority of OPRD Denitsa Nikolova nad Desislava Jordanova, Minister Pavlova had answered various questions, asked by the citizens and the media.
Zdravko Dimitrov, Rozalin Petkov, who is acting mayor of Plovdiv, and citizens were present at the event.
Minister Pavlova explained the project’s stages to the present citizens. For each building approved, the owners are to receive 50% of the budget for its renovation, where the operational program also fully covers the preliminary study costs.
The Fund for housing renovation aims to help the renewal process through loans or bank guarantees. Thus, it assists the owners to provide their 50% share of the budget for renovation, said Minister Pavlova.
The municipalities expressed their will to cooperate with the ennoblement around the new buildings and their surroundings. Also, the owners will be freed of taxes for the period of 3 to 7 years.
 There are experts working under the program in each of the six regions of the town of Plovdiv assisting the citizens, announced the mayor of Plovdiv Rozalin Petkov.
The project “Energy renewal of the Bulgarian homes” covers 36 city centers as it aims to provide better living conditions for the home owners. This will be achieved by improving the quality of the living environment and implementing the energy efficiency measures. The projects durability is 3 years (2012-2015). The total amount of the grants id 50 million leva.
