Minister Lilyana Pavlova: Over 300 million BGN are going to be invested in healthcare in the next programming period under OPRG

Over 300 million BGN are going to be invested in the healthcare sector in the next programming period under Operational Programme “Regions in Growth” 2014-2020. That was stated by the Minister during the opening of a modern radio therapeutic complex ‘Complex Oncology Center – Plovdiv’ Ltd’ in Plovdiv. ‘We keep on supporting the investments in healthcare. What we have made until this moment on Operational Programme “Regional Development” 2007 – 2013 is  a good purposeful  way to provide targeted funding for oncology. That we have achieved by investing more than 300 million BGN in all complex oncology centers in the state, as well as in the big hospitals in order to buy equipment for diagnosis and treatment of oncology diseases,’ said the Minister. In her opinion, in the next programming period the funding for healthcare will be directed to support the emergency sector.
