Minister Plevneliev is turning the first sod on the roundabout junction near the town of Byala

Tomorrow, August 25, 2010, at 11.00 pm, at the road Ruse - Byala (km 51 +930), the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Rosen Plevneliev is turning the first sod on the roundabout junction and a road section 2.1 kilometers long, adjacent to the bridge near the town of Byala.

The section is part of the project "Rehabilitation of Road I - 5 Ruse - Veliko Tarnovo (from km 50 +573 to km 52 +674) and a ring junction (in km.51 +930)”.

The construction works’ value is estimated to 3.5 million. Funding is provided from the budget of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works.

Contractor of the site is “Road maintenance – Byala”, Byala. The deadline on finishing the site is November 1, 2010.

The site is part of the Trans-European transport corridor № 9 and connects the northern border of Bulgaria with Makaza’s boarder checkpoint. It also ensures the road traffic from Eastern Europe through Bulgaria to Turkey, Greece and the Middle East.

The implementation of the site aims at increasing the safety of travelers in the region.
