Minister: Spas Popnikolov: I Will Rely on Competence and Cooperation to Continue the Regular Work of the Ministry

I will rely on You, Your competence and assistance to continue the regular work of the Ministry and to hold normal and fair elections. This was stated today by the Caretaker Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Spas Nikolov on the acceptance of the post from the former Minister Lilyana Pavlova.

The Ministry is taken by an expert and professional, which brings me satisfaction and calmness that I hand it well-arranged and expert with many achieved results and a report on what we have found and what we have done. Minister Spas Popnikolov knows most of the directors and officers. I am sure that not only will the work be delayed but also there will be a smooth and gradual transition to holding early elections, Pavlova said on her turn. She thanked the team of the Ministry for the professionalism and expertise.     

Minister Spas Popnikolov and Lilyana Pavlova agreed the priorities which the Ministry should work on and namely the obligations of the Civil Registration and Administrative Service General Directorate concerning the securing of the early parliamentary elections, developing road infrastructure projects with Struma motorway through Kresna gorge as a priority, the implementation of the Regions in Growth 2014-2020 Operational Programme, the Territorial Cooperation Programmes, the water reform as well as the National Programme for Energy Efficiency of Multi-Family Residential Buildings which is already with increased funding and unblocked.
