Deputy Minister Dora Yankova

Dora Yankova graduated Geography at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” and Law at the Technical University of Varna. She has served as a Member of Parliament in the 38th, 42nd, 43rd and 44th National Assemblies, as well as Deputy Chair of the Committee on Regional Policy, Public Works and Local Self-Government.

From 2003 to 2011, Mrs. Yankova was Mayor of the Municipality of Smolyan. She has also served as the Chair and member of the Management Board of the National Association of Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria.

Since 17 March 2025, she has been Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works.

She was appointed Caretaker Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works on 24 February 2026.
