More than BGN 221 million from the Recovery and Sustainability Plan will be invested in renovation and energy

The buildings of 79 municipalities, fire departments, police stations are being renovated, the headquarters of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the National Revenue Agency, the National Service for Protection, the Directorate for National Supervisory Control, the Commission for Consumer Protection are being renovated.
More than BGN 221 million will be invested for renovation and implementation of energy efficiency measures in administrative buildings in the country. The investment is part of the National Recovery and Sustainability Plan and is aimed at the facilities of the state and municipal administrations, District Fire Safety and Population Protection Services, District Offices of the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Agriculture and Food, Ministry of Health, etc. The funds are provided by the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, which is the Monitoring and Reporting Structure for the investment “Support for the renovation of the building stock” of the National Recovery and Sustainability Plan.
Following the screening and evaluation of the projects, the MRDPW has published the approved and rejected proposals for the implementation of investments under the procedure BG-RRP-4.020 “Support for sustainable energy renovation of public building stock for administrative services, culture and sport” in the administrative buildings part.
Renovation projects for administrative buildings in 79 municipalities have been approved. They are Plovdiv, Ruse, Burgas, Stara Zagora, Blagoevgrad, Varna, Dobrich, Shumen, Gabrovo, Yambol, Kardzhali, Kazanlak, Gotse Delchev, Razgrad, Gorna Oryahovitsa, Petrich, Sandanski, Karnobat, Dimitrovgrad, Kyustendil, Harmanli, Sozopol, Kresna, Chiprovtsi, Elena, Veliki Preslav, Madan, Batak, Byala Slatina, Tervel, Banite, Yakimovo, Popovo, Knezha, Elin Pelin, Topolovgrad, Miziya, Valchi Dol, Aksakovo, Nikola Kozlevo, Isperih, Antonovo, Bobov dol, Avren, Rakitovo, Etropole, Belitsa, Tsarevo, Belene, Yakoruda, Momchilgrad, Ardino, Kostinbrod, Oryahovo, Jebel, Kameno, Primorsko, Slivnitsa, Brusartsi, Svoge, Gulyantsi, Sedineniye, Septemvri, Kotel, Pordim, Sopot, Kaspichan, Krumovgrad, Jebel, Simitli, Strumyani, Bolyarovo, Apriltsi, Opaka, Tvarditsa, Malko Tarnovo, Smiadovo, Kozloduy, Slatina District - Sofia Municipality. Some of the municipal administrations have protected the renovation of more than one building, including town halls in the villages.
The projects for the energy renovation of the buildings of the regional administrations in Plovdiv and Lovech were also approved.
With funds from the programme, the headquarters of the State Agency for Archives in Sofia, the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the National Statistical Institute, the National Revenue Agency, the Sofia Regional Health Inspectorate, the Directorate for National Building Control, the National Service for Advice in Agriculture, the National Security Service, the Executive Agency “Infrastructure of e-Government”, the Executive Agency “Study and Maintenance of the Rivers of Bulgaria”, the National Agency for the Development of the National Environment Fund and the National Agency for the Development of the National Environment Fund. Danube”, National Student House, Consumer Protection Commission, Academy of the Ministry of Interior, Institute of Defence “Professor Tsvetan Lazarov”, etc.
The fire services in Plovdiv, Pleven, Razlog, Stara Zagora, Lovech, Gabrovo, Dimitrovgrad, Kardzhali, Balchik, Nikopol, Ardino, Podkova, Sredets, etc. will have renovated buildings with better energy efficiency. The Interior Ministry offices in Ruse, Burgas, Veliko Tarnovo, Dobrich, Lovech, Blagoevgrad, Petrich, Razlog, Gotse Delchev, Teteven, Knezha, Pravets, Provadia, Etropole, Dryanovo, etc. will also be renovated.
The measure aims that after the renovations, the buildings will achieve an energy consumption class of at least class “B” and save at least 30% of primary energy.
Eligible project activities include ongoing renovations to introduce energy efficiency measures, provide an accessible environment and build a hybrid photovoltaic system to generate electricity for own use, among others.
