Tender Documents for the Project for Construction of the Flood Defense Wall at Vidin Are To Be Bought By the End of the Week

The deadline for buying tender documents for the tender “Construction of the flood defense wall at Vidin” expires on 2nd December 2005. The offers for construction can be submitted by 9 January 2006. The project for the flood defense wall at Vidin - Baba Vida area comprises construction of shore protection aprons, a new section of the concrete protection wall and a stone facing of the wall. Offers for construction can be submitted by individual firms or consortiums consisting of up to 3 firms. The construction of the defense wall is under “Bulgaria - Construction of the Riverbank and Coastline Protection” project. The project “Bulgaria” is financed with 25 MEUR by the European Investment Bank, 15 MEUR from the Council of Europe Development Bank and 14 MEUR from the state budget. The maximum budget for the construction of the defense wall at Vidin is 500 000 EUR excluding VAT with the means provided by the Council of Europe Development Bank.
