The leadership of MRDPW had a meeting with representatives of KNSB and strike workers from DPSV

Today, the Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public works Ekaterina Zaharieva and Plamen Konov, who is a deputy chairman of the board of the state enterprise “Construction and renovation”(DPSV), had a meeting with representatives of KNSB and strike workers from DPSV.
Officials gathered today to protest in front of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, which is the principal of the company, for unpaid wages and entitlements of the staff since September 2009.
The outstanding wages are estimated to 1.5 million leva, and the insurance to 2.466 million leva.
During the meeting, Deputy Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva emphasized that the management of DPSV will provide a schedule, according to which, gradually the debts due will be paid off to the employees. She also expressed hope that they will be able to pay off the debts completely in two and a half or three month- term.
At the meeting, Deputy Minister Zaharieva stressed that the enterprise is in a serious financial situation now, and its total liabilities are ? 81 million, and reminded that in 2008 and 2009 its basic earnings were from selling assets.
