The Methodical Directions for Calculation of the Yearly Energy Consumption of Buildings Have Been Approved

The Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Asen Gagauzov approved the Methodical Directions for Calculation of the Yearly Energy Consumption of Buildings in compliance with Ordinance N 7 from 2004 for heat preservation and economy of heat energy in buildings issued in accordance with Article 169, Para. 1, Section 7 and Para. 3 of the Law of the Spatial Planning. Their development is in relation with the harmonization of our technical legislation with the European Union Acquis in the field of energy efficiency in the edifice sector. The Directions are in compliance with the new legal and technical regulation in the field of energy efficiency in the edifice sector – the Law for the Energy Efficiency, the secondary legislation for its enforcement and Ordinance N 7 from 2004 for heat preservation and economy of heat energy in buildings (in force from 01. 03. 2005). All participants in the investment and construction process – designers, consultants, constructors, state and municipal controlling organs can use the Methodical Directions as an accessory document in designing, assessment of compliance, in accordance and approval of investment projects and the construction of new buildings and reconstruction of already existing ones.
