The contractual resources on the OP are 1, 8 billion leva up to now. Deputy Minister Lilyana Pavlova announced this during the presentation of the renewed web site of the programme earlier today.
The new www.bgregio.eu will be accessible from 3 August 2011. The funds for its development are from the programme’s budget and are estimated to 23 500 leva. Its development is coordinated with the beneficiaries under OPRD, said Deputy Minister Pavlova.
The new site is with a simple access and content, aiming to help the users while searching up to date information for the programme. Only the newest and important facts and information on the programme will be published on the website. A few clicks and the beneficiaries will be able to access all the necessary data and the information on the schemes of OPRD. In this way, the portal will help the application process and the successful implementation of the programme’s projects.
The information will be renewed regularly. The users will have the opportunity to receive notifications of the new schemes published, or on the applying terms for the already published ones.
The older data will be archived when it passes its due date. Thus, the users will not get confused searching information among the old data and files.
The payments under the programme are 470 million leva up to now, which is 16% of the total value of the programme and 26% of the contractual resources. “We hope to be able to unfold the whole programme by the end of the year. We also hope to be able to contract all the resources under the programme next year. The only resources left should be for the last 2014, where they are the saved resources from tenders or the unrecognized expenses, which we plan to invest in the projects on the waiting list”, said the Head of the Managing Authority of OPRD.
Projects of tourist destinations in 61 municipalities, worth 202 million leva, are approved. Some of them are as follows: Madara, Etara, Bojentzi etc. They are approved under the scheme for financing called Sustainable development of tourism, announced Deputy Minister Pavlova. She reminded that the final term for the projects for public medical facilities financing under OPRD is due soon.
The resources, provided for the building of children’s homes, had risen up to 107 million leva after the approval. The municipalities are able to apply with projects on building close to home conditions facilities for the kids by 30 September 2011.
There ale only two forthcoming schemes under which the municipalities will be able to apply. With the mentioned above the resource of the programme will be depleted.  The scheme for integrated urban transport for the five cities will open on 15 November 2011. Applying under the scheme for tourist marketing will be possible at the end of the same month.
