Access to information

Applications for access to public information are subject to mandatory registration with an independent registration index in the case management system of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works (MRDPW). Applications for access to public information may be submitted in person to the Center for Administrative Services at: Sofia 1202, "Sv. St. Cyril and Methodius 17-19, every working day from 9.00 to 17.30, to be sent by ordinary mail or sent to the following e-mail address: e-mrrb@mrrb.government.bg.

Applications for access to public information can also be submitted orally, and the applicant provides the necessary data to an official of the Center for Administrative Services, who directly fills in the information in the registration form and registers the application.

Pursuant to Article 25 of the Access to Public Information Act, an application shall be dismissed if it does not contain the following particulars:

1. the full name, respectively the name and the seat of the applicant;
2. description of the requested information;
3. the address for correspondence with the applicant.

The application may also indicate the preferred form of providing access to the requested information.

The Legal Directorate of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works is responsible for providing access to public information.

Access to public information is granted after payment of the costs of providing the information, the amount of which is determined in accordance with Order of the Minister of Finance No ZMF-1472 of 29 November 2011 and the submission of a payment document. The costs of providing public information are paid to the cashier of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, room 527, floor 5.
