Deputy Minister Paunova Opened a Conference on Trans-Border Cooperation in Danube and Balkan Region

Deputy minister Milena Paunova opened today an international conference on trans-border cooperation in Danube and Balkan Region, organized together with the Council of Europe and the Ministry of regional development and public works.
The purpose of the conference is to be analyzed the strong and weak points, the possibilities and menaces for the trans-border cooperation in the region, as well as the strategies for development of this cooperation, underlined deputy minister Milena Paunova. She added that this cooperation has not only its own economical and social frames but also durable political consequences as a factor for stability in the Balkan-Danube region and establishment of partnership and confidence in the region.
Presently Bulgaria participates in programs for trans-border cooperation with Greece, Romania and Turkey. The main purpose is to be encouraged the good inter-neighbour relations and the stability between the participant countries which is beneficial for the regions and communities on both sides of the border.
