At the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, on 16 April 2007, was held the public opening session for the open international tender procedure for Rehabilitation of the Water Supply Network, Extension of the Sewerage Network and Upgrading of the Waste Water Treatment Plant in the Town of Burgas. This project is co-financed by ISPA and The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The project will include renovation of the water supply network, extension of the sewerage network and reconstruction of existing facilities and upgrading to tertiary treatment of the waste water treatment plant in the town of Burgas. Offers in the tender procedure presented: Angerlehner Hoch – und Tiefbau (Austria), Hidroinziniring (Slovenia), Capasa – Pons JV (Spain), Ilci – Hidrotek Joint Venture (Turkey), Hidrotek – Ilci Joint Venture (Turkey), Techoexportstroy JSC (Bulgaria), Burgas W-S Consortium ED. Zublin AG – Vodokanalstroy and Alpine Mayreder bau GmbH (Austria).
