For the last two years the government has succeeded in creating an economic climate which contributed to the significant growth in the construction sector, announced Minister Valentin Cerovski. He officially opened the 4th Bulgarian Construction Week International Specialized Exposition. It impressed me that the companies participating in the forum shared with me that the growth in their sales compared to the previous year was from 20-25 % to 40 % , added Minister Cerovski. There is a bigger growth in the sales of materials used for the construction of big infrastructural projects. The construction sector is the fastest growing sector in Bulgaria, announced the Chairman of the Bulgarian Trade and Industry Chamber, Bozhidar Bozhinov at the opening ceremony. He expressed his belief that an exposition will have been organized by the end of 2004, which will present the opportunities for companies of construction of motorways and other infrastructural projects. Construction is one of the primary indicators for economy and the liveliness which we observe about construction is a signal that the economic atmosphere in Bulgaria may improve slowly but certainly. This was emphasized by the Regional Development and Public Works Deputy Minister Savin Kovachev. By developing the necessary regulatory basis, the MRDPW has also created prerequisites to the ehnancement of the investment climate.
