I am glad that the Bulgarian state-owned company Technoexportstroy LTD is the Contractor of a part of the project for construction of the National Optical Motorway /NOM/, said the Regional Development and Public Works Minister Valentin Cerovski at the ceremony near Blagoevgrad on the occasion of the start of the construction of the road section Sofia-Kulata along the NOM. He underlined that for the first time a competitive network of BTC was being constructed in Bulgaria and expressed his hope that the project would have been implemented before the start of the Olympic games in Greece, which was the ambition of Technoexportstroy LTD – the Contractor. For the period of the construction works Technoexportstroy LTD will employ about 200 people by hiring people from the region, announced the company. The investor of the NOM project is Cable Tel. The Executive Director for Bulgaria Ron Finli announced that he was glad that they had for their partner Technoexportstroy LTD and confirmed that the two companies set the goal to finish the section by the end of July 2004. The whole southern direction of the national optical motorway is due to be executed within the same period, and North Bulgaria is to be covered by the spring of 2005. Minister Valentin Cerovski and Ron Finli announced that as an example of the good cooperation between Technoexportstroy LTD and Cable Tel, the American company would award its Bulgarian partner with the construction of a hotel, offices and housing in Dallas, the State of Texas.
