Japan Ready to Support Bulgarian Infrastructure Projects

The Japanese Government is ready to finance Bulgarian infrastructure projects that are well prepared and backed by state guarantees. This transpired at a meeting between Regional Development and Public Works Minister Asen Gagaouzov and the Japanese Ambassador to Bulgaria, His Excellency Koichiro Fukui. At the meeting the Japanese diplomat inquired about the damage inflicted by the floods to Bulgaria’s road and water supply and sewerage infrastructure. Ambassador Fukui expressed sympathy for the victims of the natural disaster and shared Japan’s experience in overcoming similar crises. The meeting was held at the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works on the initiative of the Japanese Ambassador. It was the first meeting between the Japanese diplomat and newly appointed Regional Development and Public Works Minister Asen Gagaouzov. Public Relations and International Activities Directorate
