Petya Avramova took the office of Minister of Regional Development and Public Works from Nikolay Nankov

I am aware of the responsibility I take on with this post. I insist on continuity and three priorities that I will observe in my work – efficiency, quality and control.

The Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Petya Avramova said this on the sidelines of the National Assembly today after taking office and added that it would be valuable for her to receive the support of the ex Minister Nikolay Nankov and to have the opportunity to use his knowledge and experience.

Petya Avramova stated that she will rely on the professionalism, experience and competence of all employees of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works. I will work together with the municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria, with the industry, with professional organisations and I believe that with the commitment of all and the legislature we will be able to do the work ahead of us to improve our country, good urban environment and good roads, the Regional Minister said.

Nikolay Nankov expressed his confidence that Petya Avramova will cope well with the outlined priorities. “I am extremely happy that we are leaving a tidy house to a good landlord,” he said, expressing his willingness to help.

Later, at the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, Nikolay Nankov presented the staff of the ministry to the new regional minister.
