Minister Gagauzov Met the EBRD Director for Eastern Europe and the Caucasus Olivier Descamps

The Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Asen Gagauzov discussed today on a meeting with Olivier Descamps, the Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for Southern and Eastern Europe and the Caucasus the opportunities for financing of projects in the road infrastructure and water sector. Minister Gagauzov expressed satisfaction from the work with EBRD and underlined that the form of cooperation with the Bank – crediting of projects without state guarantees is appropriate and can be applied in the sector of municipal infrastructure. At the meeting were present the Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Dimcho Mihalevsky, the representative of EBRD for Bulgaria Kalin Mitrev and the EBRD Director for Bulgaria John Chomel-Doe. The meeting between Minister Gagauzov and Mr. Olivier Descamps took place in the framework of the Bank mission which has to determine the projects for financing in 2006 – 2007.
