Minister Gagauzov met the Italian Infrastructure and Transport Minister Pietro Lunardi

The Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Asen Gagauzov met today Prof. Eng. Pietro Lunardi, Minister of Infrastructure and Transport in Italy. The basic topics of the discussions between the two ministers were the possibilities for cooperation between the two countries in the field of infrastructure and refurbishment of the underdeveloped town areas. Bulgaria and Italy have common problems; we know what it means to make up for the falling behind, Italy has been engaged in a vast plan for infrastructural restoration, underlined Minister Lunardi. He pointed out that the Italian side is opened for joint Bulgarian-Italian initiatives. There are many good associations and companies in the field of construction and roads in Italy and we could be of help at the realization of similar projects in Bulgaria, added Minister Pietro Lunardi. We are grateful to Italy and we will count on its help, stated Minister Gagauzov. He informed his Italian colleague that a Strategy for the development of the state infrastructure has been drafted at the moment and is to be endorsed by the Council of Ministers.
