Minister Lilyana Pavlova opened the Conference “Conditions and challenges during the construction of WWTP in Bulgaria”

The Minister of Regional development and Public Works has opened the Conference “Conditions and challenges during the construction of WWTP in Bulgaria”. The event took place in Sheraton Hotel. Deputy Minister Dobromir Simidchiev was also present at the forum.

The forum aims at revealing the conditions of the wastewater sector in Bulgarian and the funding mechanisms, as well as the designing, building and the exploitation of the Wastewater Treatment Plants.

Opportunities for municipal projects to be funded under OP” Regional Development” have also been discussed during the meeting. Another matter for discussion was the road map for the funding of WWTP under OP”Environment”.

Good practices in the modern technologies, when realizing WWTP projects, have been presented to the participants in the conference.

The event’s coordinators were the Chamber of Builders and the Bulgarian Water Association.
