Minister Nigel Griffiths and I discussed the opportunities of the British companies for entering into the Bulgarian market, announced Minister Cerovski having returned from London. He was on an official visit to Great Britain by invitation of Mr. Griffiths – the Construction, Small and Medium Business Minister. Other topics of discussion were the regional development and the position of Great Britain in respect to the EU cohesion policy. During his stay in London Minister Valentin Cerovski also had meetings with International Financial Services, London and the British Construction and Consultants Bureau. The topics of discussion with the two companies were the creation of financial models for projects in the water and sewerage sector and the road sector, as well as the problems arisen from the establishment of the public-private partnership in Great Britain. Owing to the strong interest we agreed to organize a seminar for British water, construction and consultant companies during the second half of September, said Minister Valentin Cerovski. He emphasized that British companies carefully observe the development of the Bulgarian economy, and some of them have successfully implemented projects in the energy sector in Bulgaria.
