MRDPW and the Bulgarian Branch Chamber "Roads" Will Cooperate For the Development of a National Strategy for the Roads

The Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works and the Bulgarian Branch Chamber "Roads" (BBC "Roads") will cooperate for the development and the approval of a national strategy for construction, development and maintenance of the road infrastructure in the country. This was written in the agreement for cooperation which was signed today by Minister Asen Gagauzov and engineer Roumen Iovchev, chairman of BBC "Roads". The agreement is to improve the relations between BBC "Roads" and MRDPW and most of all the engagements which we as a ministry undertake for regulation of the road construction market, underlined Minister Asen Gagauzov. The ministry and the Branch Chamber will cooperate for the implementation of the good European practices and standards in construction, rehabilitation and maintenance of the road infrastructure. MRDPW and BBC "Roads" stand for effective adoption of the funds and for transforming the road infrastructure under the European standards. Huge part of the investments in Bulgaria in the following 7 – 8 years will be in the road construction and infrastructure sector and our aim is to create conditions for equal basis for participation of the Bulgarian business in the tender procedures of the greatest projects in the country, added Minister Asen Gagauzov.
