The Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works has started a series of working meetings and discussions between experts from all state institutions engaged with the process of establishment and management of public-private partnerships (PPP). The purpose of the initiative is the establishment of a flexible mechanism for coordination and highlighting of the basic activities and engagements of the units as well as the exchange of experience and good practices in the process of PPP management. The basic accent of the working meetings will be on the opportunities for the formation of PPP on municipality level. The initiative was suggested by the Directorate “Management of Territory and Decentralization” of MRDPW and its purpose is to answer the growing needs of the municipalities and the private business of clear law definitions for the process. The first working meeting was held today in MRDPW and was attended by representatives of all interested departments and institutions: the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economy and Energy, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Public Administration and Administrative Reform.
