MRDPW presented the planning regions through digital and cartographic materials

A closing conference on “Bulgarian regions visit card” in the framework of the Communication Strategy for the Accession of Bulgaria to the EU has started in Plovdiv. With this project MRDPW starts a campaign for popularization of the Bulgarian regions as a part of the European economical space of the European regions. The presentation of Bulgaria and the Bulgarian planning regions as an inseparable part of the EU through digital and cartographic materials as well as the preparation and distribution of advertising and information materials on the Bulgarian regions are some of the most important objectives of the project. “The fact that Bulgaria has managed with the planning for 2007 – 2013 is very encouraging. The municipal development plans, the district development strategies as well as the six planning regions development plans are ready”, underlined in her greeting speech to the participants at the conference the MRDPW Deputy Minister Iskra Mihaylova. In the framework of the conference were presented the digital and print cartographic materials about Bulgaria and the Bulgarian planning regions. District governors, mayors, representatives of the district administrations took part in the conference. The project “Bulgarian regions visit card” has been carried out by the Directorate “Strategic Planning of Regional Policy and Coordination of the Negotiation Process”.
