Municipalities with a population of up to 100,000 in the country will be able to apply for technical assistance for the transformation of existing infrastructure or public spaces. Transformation projects will be supported by the New European Bauhaus Local Initiatives. Municipalities, cities, districts, as well as agglomerations or a group of municipalities and functional zones (including cross-border districts) can apply with developed project ideas until May 23rd this year. 20 proposals will be selected, which will be developed by experts in projects, with which you can then apply for funding from European funds or national funding.

Project ideas must include the three core values of the New European Bauhaus - sustainability, aesthetics and inclusion. They will have to contribute to at least one of the four areas of action: renovation of existing buildings and public spaces, introduction of circular economy and carbon neutrality, protection and transformation of cultural heritage sites, adaptation and transformation of residential buildings or regeneration of urban or rural areas.

Participants must submit an online application form in English. Guidelines for applicants can be found here.

The new European Bauhaus aims to make the European Green Deal a cultural, human-oriented, positive and tangible experience for all, promoting the transformation and adaptation of cities across Europe through beautiful, sustainable and inclusive places.
