Three are the MRDPW basic priorities in the water supply and sewage sector

Three basic priorities will have the policy of MRDPW for raising the level of services in the water supply and sewage sector. They were introduced by the deputy minister of the regional development and public works Dimcho Mihalevsky at the opening of the second national conference “Information and communication technologies in the infrastructure, energetics and utility business” in Sheraton.
The priorities are linked with the creation of a clear and concrete legislation frame for the development of the sector, with the renovation and the reconstruction of the water supply and sewage systems and with the re-structuring of the sector.
In the field of the legislation structure is at hand for MRDPW to prepare a project Law for the water supply and sewage system as well as the secondary legislation to the Law for regulation of water supply and sewage services.
The new law will settle the issues related with the property and government of the infrastructure, with the relations between the operators of water supply and sewage systems and the users of the services.
The tendencies in the re-structuring of the water sector in Bulgaria were introduced by the director of the Directorate Water Supply and Sewage in MRDPW – Mr. Plamen Nikiforov.
Participants in the conference are leading companies in the sphere of IT, over 50 WSS from the country, engineering and construction companies as well as other representatives of the utility sector.
