Violeta Komitova accepted the post of Minister of Regional Development and Public Works of Petya Avramova

The tasks before the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works and the course of their implementation, as well as the forthcoming events to which the ministry is committed, were discussed by the newly appointed Minister Violeta Komitova and the current Minister Petya Avramova.

The caretaker Minister accepted the post from her predecessor at a symbolic ceremony at the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works today.

Petya Avramova wished success in the work of the new minister.

Violeta Komitova has a master's degree in architecture in 1980 at the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy, Sofia.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Komitova has a number of professional specializations, including at the University of De Montfort in Leicester, UK in 1994 and 1996, at the University of East London in 1999 and at the School of Architecture in Dublin, UK in 2000.

During her professional career she has worked in the fields of construction, investment projects, urbanism and urban planning, European projects under the PHARE, Tempus, Erasmus-Socrates, RDP programs.

She is a member of the Union of Architects in Bulgaria, the Chamber of Architects in Bulgaria, the International Council for Research and Innovation in Buildings and Construction, Working Committees W63 (Affordable Housing) and W96 (Architectural Management).

She is a lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture of UACEG.
