We celebrate the Day of European Cooperation with a bike race and a tour of Tsarevo

Bulgaria and Turkey will celebrate together the European Cooperation Day with a bike race and a tour of Tsarevo. The two countries are participating in the initiative through the INTERREG IPA Bulgaria-Turkey CBC Programme 2014-2020.

The celebration will be opened tomorrow - 24 August, at 11:00 a.m. by representatives of the Managing and National Authority of the programme. The Consul General of Turkey in Burgas, Mrs. Senem Güzel, will also take part in the event.

 Cyclists from Bulgaria and Turkey will participate in the bike race. The young people from the “Bicycle Club – Tsarevo” and their guests will take part in the sports race on the new stretch of the promenade between the “Vasiliko” district and the “Assumption” church. The route has been completed under the project “Paths to Heritage”, financed with EU funds from the joint cross-border programme.

The European Cooperation Day takes place for the 11th year in a row with events across Europe. The aim is to showcase the achievements of cooperation between European countries and regions.
