Amendment of the Cross-border Cooperation Programme INTERREG - IPA Bulgaria - Turkey 2014-2020 has been approved

The Council of Ministers approved an amendment to the Cross-border Cooperation Programme INTERREG - IPA Bulgaria - Turkey 2014-2020. The amendment aims to reflect the minor amendment made in 2021 to the programming document, which was notified to the European Commission as required by the regulation. At that time, a free resource of EUR 279 839 was reallocated from Priority Axis 2 “Sustainable Tourism” to Priority Axis 1 “Environment” of the Programme, co-financed by the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance II. The additional funds were used to finance additional activities under the strategic project “Cross-border regions cooperating for BLUE GROWTH COLLABs”, which supports research centres in Burgas and Edirne to study and monitor the ecological status of local ecosystems and corresponds to the EU’s long-term blue growth strategy.
