Financial Controllers

Functions:

The Financial Controllers are directly subordinate to the Minister, with the exception of the Financial Controllers of the General Directorate “Strategic Planning and Regional Development Programmes” and the Directorate “Territorial Cooperation Management”.

The Financial Controllers perform ex ante legality control in accordance with the Financial Management and Control in the Public Sector Act and the methodology of the Minister of Finance.

The Financial Controllers carry out the necessary checks and provide an opinion on legality prior to the adoption of any decision related to the financial activities of the Ministry. The procedure and methodology for performing ex ante control by the Financial Controllers shall be determined by internal acts issued by the Minister.
