On 12 March 2007 in the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works was held the public opening session for the open international tender for Supply of equipment for renovation of drinking water pumping stations in Ruse, Bulgaria, Pub. Ref.: EUROPEAID/123402/D/SUP/BG The project is co-financed by: • Financing Memorandum between European Commission and Republic of Bulgaria – ISPA Measure No 2005/BG/16/P/PE/004 • European Bank for Reconstruction and Development • Bulgarian Government’s contribution. In order to improve the reliability of the public water supply, to reduce the risk for people’s health and to assure more efficient use of water resources, the following equipment shall be supplied:  14 pumps (particular pump capacity ranges from 150 l/s to 550 l/s and head from 50 to 85 m) for three pumping stations (namely 1st, 2nd and 3rd raise pumping stations) incl. accessories like electromechanical equipment such as motor driven valves, non return valves, pressure relief valves, air valves, motor protection, power transformer etc.  10 pump groups with frequency regulation (to supply multi-storey buildings and to replace 10 small booster pumping stations). Equipment should be supplied and its installation should be supervised not later than 180 days from the date of the contract signature until the provisional acceptance. The sole contract award criterion is price – i.e. the lowest price offered by administratively and technically compliant tenders. Five offers were submitted for this tender as per the attached table.
