Small and medium-sized enterprises can join the Monitoring Committee of the Territorial Cooperation Programme

Representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises from the border region between Bulgaria and Greece can join the Programme Monitoring Committee. The National Authority of the Territorial Cooperation Programme Interreg VI A Greece-Bulgaria 2021-2027 has announced a call for business representatives, which is published on the website of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works.

Persons wishing to participate in the selection must be registered or have their seat/branch in the eligible programme area of the programme - the regions of Haskovo, Smolyan, Kardzhali and Blagoevgrad on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria and the regions of Evros, Xanthi, Rhodope, Drama, Kavala, Thessaloniki and Serres on the territory of the Hellenic Republic.

They must have been active and actively pursuing their objectives for at least 2 years at the time of submission of the application for the selection procedure. Among the requirements, they must also have experience in developing/implementing/monitoring or evaluating at least one strategy/programme/policy or at least one project funded by the European Union.

Until 20.01.2023, any interested small or medium-sized enterprise may apply for participation in the programme. The application must be prepared in accordance with the template in Annex No 1 to this call for proposals and submitted to the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works at the following address: Sofia 1202, 17-19 Saints Cyril and Methodius Street or by e-mail: e-mrrb@mrrb.government.bg and na-gr-bg@mrrb.government.bg.

The written application shall be accompanied by a list describing the projects, programmes and/or activities carried out which demonstrate experience in developing/implementing/monitoring or evaluating strategies/programmes/policies or projects funded by European Union funds, a statement of circumstances and a declaration of personal data.

Within 5 working days after the deadline for the submission of applications, the Head of the National Authority shall notify the eligible persons and invite them to nominate one holder and up to two alternates as representatives. Within 5 working days of receipt of the notification, the representatives of the SMEs shall notify the Head of the National Authority in writing of the representatives nominated, providing information on their three names, organisation, contact telephone and e-mail and evidence of their general approval.
